EASTGATE CHURCH
James Wesley (Wez) - Senior Pastor
Hi, this is me. Pastor Wez, also known as Uncle Wez. I will admit, it was never my dream to be a Pastor. I avoided it. But here I am. You just cannot outrun God. I believe in honesty, trust, and faithfulness.
I am a tradesman (Vehicle Body Builder) and I studied Ministry in a previous life. Then went on to do a Business Degree and currently into my Masters JD. Along with being a Pastor I work full time in a secular job. I would love to meet you all sometime.
Justine Wesley - Council Member
Justine is the wife to Pastor Wez and a natural carer of people. Her balanced and gentle approach serves as a calming nature to her husband. She works fulltime and is currently doing her Honours year in Psychology at Murdoch University. Justine loves the hills life and the abundance of wildlife that living in the hills brings.
Angela Jeffers - Associate Pastor
Angela is a wife, mum and grandmother, and loves church! A Hills local, she has called EastGate home since 2001 and loves to meet new people and find out what makes them ‘tick’. Angela has a longing to see people healed of their sicknesses, whether physical or emotional, so that they can live life to the full.
Nanette Esam - Chairperson
Nanette is many things to many people, but first and foremost she is a beloved child of God.
She is gainfully employed for 2 days a week and for the rest of the week she works for love, serving her two God given families, home and EastGate Church. Both of which provide the much-needed nourishment required to keep her spirit and soul thriving.
She is team Jesus all the way.
Val Oliver - Treasurer
Val emigrated to Australia in 1968 with her husband Ray and they moved to Parkerville in 1972. Val is blessed with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Community has always been a big part of her life and she was a Brownie leader in the Girl Guides for several years. Val enjoys meeting people and serving the community. Currently, Val is church Treasurer and Compassion Ministry Leader, in which role she organizes ‘cook ups’ making meals and hampers for those in need.
