About Eastgate Church

History

We had our beginnings as a local fellowship started in the mid nineties, being established as a church and becoming incorporated in 1997. 

Name

The name "Eastgate" is from Ezekiel 43: 1-2 which speaks of God's glory coming through the gate that faces east.  As the east gate to Perth (and the gate way to the wheatbelt), it's our heart to see God's glory come into our community, wider Perth and WA, as we shine the light and love of Jesus to the community and beyond. 

Affiliation

We are affiliated with the Full Gospel Churches of Australia, and are part of the wider Body of Christ being in relationship with other Christian Churches across denominations throughout the hills and Perth.  Eastgate is an incorporated association, and also a registered charity with the ACNC.

Beliefs

We believe in:

• one God, The Father, Son and Holy Spirit
• Jesus Christ, Son of God who died for our sins and is risen
• the Holy Spirit, working in and through his people
• the Bible, God's living word
• the lost state of all people without Jesus
• the baptism of the Holy Spirit for all believers
• the church as the body of Christ fulfilling his last command to share the good news of Jesus to all the world

Together we:

• share in the Lord's Supper
• practice baptism by full immersion for all believers
• give through tithes and offerings
• live, love and learn together through various groups
• serve one another and the wider community through a number of initiatives

Our Sunday Morning Service- parent information

As an intergenerational church, we encourage all generations to take part in our Sunday morning service, including young people!  We do not run a separate children's program, as we encourage an intergenerational service, however we offer activities during the service for all ages to enjoy.
