February 2011 Eastgate Church Newsletter
Hi Everyone, welcome to our first newsletter for 2011. Carols in the Park was our best ever with over 400 people attending. Thanks to everyone who helped make this event so successful, especially Pastor Brad Middleton who played keyboard for us. We have already begun to plan this year’s event.
We celebrated Australia Day by having a church picnic at Lake Leschenaultia. The weather was warm and the kids had a ball playing and swimming in the Lake.
We have contracted Aurora Studio Design Practice to design the renovations and extension of our church building. The preliminary proposals are available for your comments and are displayed in the church foyer. This is a very exciting time as we wait on the Lord and see His promises come to pass, so keep praying and keep believing.
Our Blog is up and running and will contain the notes from the previous Sunday’s message for your convenience. We encourage you to study the scriptures and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. Our prayer is that you grow closer to Jesus and fulfill every promise and plan He has for your life.
All our groups have commenced so please get involved and invite your friends.
Food for thought – How do you measure up?
Love is a verb (doing word) not a noun (object).
John 13:35 (The Message) “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples – when they see the love you have for each other.”
See you in church.
Blessings
Pastors Alan and Mary
