August 2010 Eastgate Church Newsletter

Hi Everyone, welcome to our newsletter. Our new web page is finished and looks great. You will be able to keep up with what's happening at Eastgate Church, access information about upcoming events as well as read all the news of the exciting things the Lord is doing here at Mt Helena and in our overseas churches.

It's that time of the year again. We are beginning to prepare for Carols in the Park which this year will be held on the 11th December, 2010.

A committee has been formed and we are looking for anyone who is interested in being part of the skit. Come-on all you would be actors. Please talk to Angela, Mary, Glenn or Jared. We need your talent and would love to have you involved.

Operation Christmas Child is under way and this year we are hoping to donate 100 boxes. Please bring in your packed boxes to church no later than the 26th September together with $9.00 for each box to cover postage and handling. Thanks so much. You are part of a huge program that blesses little children in many under privileged countries.

Alan, Angela and Mary will be leaving for Sri Lanka on the 6th September for the annual Women's Conference. Pastor Jared will be overseeing the church in our absence.

Don't forget our pre-service prayer at 9.30a.m. – 9.45a.m. Sunday mornings. Come early and be part of welcoming the Holy Spirit to our meeting. It's an awesome time, so don't miss out.

Volunteers are needed for crèche roster. Please help give the mums and dads with babies and toddlers more opportunities to sit in church and hear the message.
